As far as I understand, the Shopify taxonomy only includes attributes with a restricted set of values. However, this approach seems to leave out many potentially relevant attributes that are crucial for accurately describing certain products. For example:
The size of a television (e.g., "55 inches"), which is critical for customers comparing TVs.
Boolean attributes like whether a cellphone has infrared capabilities or wireless charging support.
Numeric attributes, such as the wattage of a microwave.
Material composition of items, like "100% cotton" for apparel or "stainless steel" for kitchenware.
Why aren’t attributes like these included in the taxonomy? Are there plans to expand the taxonomy or another place where a more comprehensive set of attributes for a product is stored?
Thank you for your time and clarification!
