Because it's an even more popular thing to do
Provide WASM version for color utils, quantizers and other hotspots for performance boost.

Considering this project is using Typescript already converting some parts to webassembly using https://github.com/AssemblyScript/assemblyscript shouldn't be too hard.

This is super facinating to see. I'll have to take a closer look when I get more time @minht11 . As of now I'm going to be unable to look further into it due to personal obligations
