Additional keyboard layouts don't work #1012

I want to add the arabic layout to my keyboard and I have this in my hyprland/general.conf:

kb_layout = us,ara
kb_options = grp:win_space_toggle

for some reason the layout doesn't change when I press Win+Space

I tried different layouts like russian and all and none worked
