The Hide an entity documentation states "Hidden entities are also not exposed to external voice assistants, like Google Assistant or Alexa". This does not seem to be true in my current installation of home assistant and I can find no way to make this the case via a setting.
I'm suspecting this documentation is based off the functionality of home assistant in the past but may have since changed. I've attempted to search the home assistant change logs and cannot find any mention of this functionality having been changed though. As of right now, running this action and causing an entity to be hidden does not un-expose an entity to Google Assistant. Additionally: a device that is already set to hidden, if set to be exposed to Google Assistant, will show up in Google assistant regardless of the hidden state.
Hidden entities are also not exposed to external voice assistants, like Google Assistant or Alexa.
As an aside, if anyone knows if there is an action within spook (or natively) to expose / un-expose an entity to a voice assistant could you kindly point me in the right direction.
