Asset information changes not being recorded in history

Version v7.1.15 - build 16052 (master)

When modifying an asset's information, that was created via the API, I changed the Warranty, Next Audit Date, Purchase Date, and Supplier fields. After saving the asset information and reviewing the history for that asset there is no record of the changes that just took place for that asset. The values are being saved correctly, just not producing a change history. There was no prior data in these fields. This asset also has custom fields added if that is helpful. I do see those being recorded in the asset history, only the asset Optional Information and Order Related Information, appear to not be recording changes now.
