According to mypy_primer, this change doesn't affect type check results on a corpus of open source code. ✅ |

Hm, unfortunately this doesn't seem to have saved any time :( Oh well, guess I'll just close this. Apparently a dev drive can be used which may help, but that would likely be a more involved change that I will have to revisit. |

This PR changes the Windows pytest tests to put the temp directory on the
D:\drive, which is faster than theC:\drive.h/t to @ichard26 in this pip PR: pypa/pip#13129 for the idea
